Teaching objectives are the starting point and destination of classroom teaching.To a large extent,the process of the implementation of teaching is designed based on the classroom teaching objectives design determines the effectiveness and quality of classroom teaching.Because of this,this study takes English teachers from 34 representative primary schools in Kun District in Baotou as the research participants to investigate the current situation of classroom teaching objectives design.This study mainly solves the following three problems:1.What is the current situation of primary school English teachers' understanding of teaching objective design?2.What is the current situation of the design of teaching objectives for primary school English teachers?3.What is the implementation of classroom teaching objectives of primary school English teachers?In this study,the author used the following research methods to carry out the relevant research,they are questionnaire survey,text-analysis,classroom observation and interview.By distribution and collection 117 questionnaires to 34 primary school teachers in Kun District in Baotou,and then in-depth interviews with 6 English teachers who are representative from 4 primary schools,is to know the current situation of primary school English teachers' understanding of classroom teaching objectives.By collecting 42 teaching designs which are from 16 English teachers in 13 primary schools and extracting 123 teaching objectives,is to know the current situation of design of classroom teaching objectives.By using classroom observation scale on 20 English lessons of observation and detailed records,is to investigate the implementation of primary school English teachers' classroom teaching objectives.Through the investigation and research,it is found that primary school English teachers have made a lot of effort in the design of teaching objectives,but there are still some problems.The design of teaching objectives pays more attention to the achievement of knowledge and skill objectives.However,the objectives of emotional attitude,learning strategies,and cultural awareness are ignored.The design of elementary school English teacher's teaching objective related theory knowledge is insufficient;the training of English teachers in primary schools lags;In the process of classroom implementation,students' habits of listening and cooperative should be strengthened,and teachers should pay more attention to the time to achieve the design of objectives,and so on.Through the in-depth study of the design and implementation of primary school English teachers' classroom teaching objectives,this study finds out the current situation of design of primary school English teachers' classroom teaching objectives,proposes that the consciousness,ability and quality of design of primary school English teachers' classroom teaching objectives should be enhanced to further improve the effectiveness of their classroom teaching,and puts forward some suggestions for the professional growth of design and implementation of teachers' classroom teaching objectives.
