With the rapid development of education informatization,various educational game APPs have appeared in the view of learners.Through the analysis of the literature and the analysis of the characteristics of existing educational games,this research designs and develops an educational game that is consistent with the psychological characteristics of primary school students and suitable for primary school students to learn English word memory.The effect of different presentation methods on learners’ memorization of words was studied,and the effects of three different presentation modes of the word meanings in the game on the test results(learning effects)and learning interest were explored through interviews and analysis of the learning process of the game.According to the data collected during the game design,development,and statistical analysis,it can be seen that educational games with different ways of presenting word meanings have a positive effect on students’ word memory effects.Among them,games that present word meanings in cartoon pictures are more effective than words and The real picture shows the meaning of the word,and its learning effect is better,and the elementary school students have a higher learning interest in the game where the cartoon picture shows the meaning of the word.This article introduces the research process and results.It is divided into five parts.Chapter 1 puts forward the questions.It mainly introduces the research background,research questions,research content,research goals,research methods,and research significance.Chapter 2.Related research literature and theory.Based on the literature survey,the concepts of games and educational games are defined,and the development status of educational games and the use of digital learning tools by elementary students are reviewed.Chapter 3 Designs and develops the word memory learning game "Pokemon Run",reports the author’s learning experienceand thoughts on primary school English education games,and selects the results of questionnaire surveys conducted by some elementary students,and develops game designs based on this And development situation.Chapter 4,the trial effect of "Pokemon Run",introduces the experimental process and data analysis of the game trial,mainly introduces the experimental hypotheses,experimental objects,implementation process,and collection and analysis of experimental data;Chapter 5 conclusions and prospects,summary The effects of three different ways of presenting educational games on the effects of word memory and learning interest of elementary school students are reviewed.The shortcomings in this research process are reflected and future research is proposed.
