Taichiquan is an important part of Culture Teaching in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language(TCFL)and an excellent carrier to spread Chinese culture.Therefore,setting up Taichiquan classes in Confucius Institute can enrich the teaching content of Chinese culture as a foreign language and make Chinese learning more dimensional.In the process of teaching,combining language learning with cultural learning can generate learners’ interest in learning Chinese and promote the effective development of TCFL.Nowadays,the research of Taichiquan in China focuses more on the history and transmission,while the teaching design of Tachiquan in the context of TCFL is far from enough.In the process of overseas teaching of Chinese,many factors that are usually ignored may affect the delivery effect due to the restriction of learners’ Chinese proficiency.For example,how to incorporate Taichiquan into the Chinese curriculum and promote students’ learning has been a hot topic for lots of educators and instructors.This author draws lessons from prior experiences,combines the Chinese teaching background of our Confucius Institute,makes use of the theories of Chinese international education,analyzes students’ background,enables students to learn Taichiquan through immersion,and carries on the teaching design to the teaching of Taichiquan according to the concrete teaching situations.This thesis consists of six parts.Firstly,the reasons of the topic,the purpose and significance of the research,the research status and the research methods are described in the first chapter.Secondly,this thesis expounds the theory of Taichiquan instructional design.The third chapter analyzes the teaching background.Fourthly,the concrete teaching design of Taichiquan is given in this chapter.Based on the local teaching conditions,the author sets the teaching goal,selects the teaching content,chooses the teaching method that accords with the students,arranges the teaching time reasonably,designs the flow chart,and completes the teaching design.Chapter five evaluates and reflects on the teaching design and its implementation.Finally,the paper is summarized in the form of conclusion.Last but no least,it is hoped that this study can serve as a reference to facilitate more Chinese teachers and volunteers to carry out Taichiquan teaching and cultural communication. |
