The Study On Young Intellectuals Going To The Countryside In Quanzhou(1968-1980)

On December 22,1968,the People's Daily published MAO zedong's supreme instruction: "it is necessary for young intellectuals to go to the countryside and receive re-education from the poor,poor and middle peasants." The mass movement of young intellectuals to go to the countryside swept China.This paper takes the movement of intellectual youth going to the countryside in quanzhou city from 1968 to 1980 as the research object.On the basis of investigating the main course of quanzhou intellectual youth's movement to go to the countryside,from the social mobilization and the government's resettlement policy before the educated youth went to the countryside,the production and living conditions after the educated youth went to the countryside and the resulting adaptation and contrast,and the employment resettlement and problem solving after the educated youth returned to the city,etc.Complete a comprehensive and in-depth study of the movement of intellectual youth to go to the countryside in quanzhou city.With a view to restoring the real appearance of the intellectual youth in quanzhou under the specific historical situation and grasping the regional characteristics of the intellectual youth movement in quanzhou.Through the study of the movement of intellectual youth to go to the countryside in a particular region,it is helpful for us to compare and analyze the regional differences of the movement of intellectual youth to go to the countryside in a microscopic perspective,and deepen the possibility of the study of the history of educated youth from the perspective of regional research.
