Self-injury behavior has become a health concern all over the world and has been one of the most important issues in the field of mental health in recent years.Self-injury behavior usually refers to the individual intentionally, repeatedly,in different ways(e.g.,electric shock or fire, beating oneself, scratching the skin and strangling the wrist, etc.)to hurt his body tissue. This behavior is not associated with suicidal intent and is not fatal or less lethal, but is not recognized and accepted by society.Junior high school students are one of the high incidence of self-harm.Social exclusion is an environmental variable that significantly predicts self-injury behavior in adolescents.Impulsiveness has an important effect on self-injury behavior, while negative emotions are also self-injury behaviors for one of the important predictors. This study adopts the combination of experimental method and questionnaire method to systematically investigate the specific influence mechanism of social exclusion, impulsivity and negative emotion on self-harm.Through the cold stress experiment, the influence of social exclusion on 73 junior high school students' self-injury was verified by using the Adolescents Self-Harm Scale, the social exclusion situation and the rejection feeling scale. The second study was to explore the influence of social exclusion and impulsiveness on junior high school students' self-injury by using the Adolescents Self-Harm Scale, the Barratt Impulsiveness Scale, the Positive and Negative Emotion Scale. The social exclusion scale comprehensively explores the relationship and action mechanism among social exclusion, impulsivity, negative emotion and self-harm,constructs a regulated mediating model, and discusses the combined influence of social environment factors(social exclusion),individual personality factors(impulsiveness)and psychological factors(negative emotion)on the occurrence of self-harm in junior high school students. The results of this study are as follows:(1)There were significant differences in the self-injury behavior of the self-injury individuals under the social exclusion and social acceptance scenarios, and the score of the self-injury behavior group was statistically significantly higher than that of the non-self-injury behavior group(p<0.05);(2)There was a significant positive correlation between social exclusion, impulsiveness, negative emotion and self-harming behavior(p<0.05 or p<0.001);(3)Impulsive traits play a mediating role between social exclusion and self-harming behavior, and are partly mediating;(4)Social exclusion plays a moderating role in mediating impulsive traits. The findings of this study are as follows:(1)The self-harm behavior of junior high school students in social exclusion situations is more than that in acceptance situations, while the junior high school students with self-harm behaviors are more likely to produce self-harm behaviors in social exclusion situations and acceptance situations.(2)High impulsive junior high school students will produce more self-harm behaviors in social exclusion situations, and less self-harm behaviors in social acceptance situations The self-harm behaviors of low-impulsive junior high school students are similar in social exclusion and acceptance situations.(3)Negative emotions play a partial mediating role between impulsive traits and self-harm behaviors, and social exclusion can regulate the mediating role of negative emotions.
