Study On Agricultural Tools During Warring States Period,Qin And Han Dynasty Unearthed In Inner Mongolia

Yan,Zhao and Qin,which bordered Inner Mongolia today during Warring States Period,continued to grow,and then went north to set up counties and counties in this Inner Mongolia area to develop agriculture and build a military defense system,the Great Wall,to defend against the invasion of many northern nomads.During Qin and Han dynasty,each dynasty expanded its jurisdiction in Inner Mongolia today and implemented immigration policies to enrich the border,which provided certain support for military defense on the northern border at that time.With the increasing number of archeological discoveries during Warring States,Qin and Han Dynasty in Inner Mongolia,there is an important reference for further understanding of the agricultural development in Inner Mongolia during this period.Among them,the agricultural tools from Warring States Period,Qin and Han Dynasty unearthed in Inner Mongolia can be sorted out.Agricultural tools for reclamation and weeding include iron ploughshares,Lou Li,plows,iron hoe,Tie Jue,shovel,Tie Cha and Tie Xianren;Agricultural tools for harvesting grain include iron sickles,Tie Qiadao and Mu Xian.Agricultural irrigation tools include Shui Hu,wells and pulleys.The processing tools include pestle,mortar,ceramic grinding discs and stone mills;The storage tools include warehouses,grain pits and pots;the measuring tools include Tao Liang and Qin Tiequan;The transportation tools include Shuang Yuanche.These agricultural tools are mostly made of iron,ceramics,stone or wood,and some of them should be made locally.Among them,many archaeological excavations of iron smelting and pottery kiln in Warring States Period,Qin and Han Dynasty were excavated in Inner Mongolia.The smelted iron and burned pottery were unearthed in the site,indicating that there were already conditions for producing agricultural tools in Inner Mongolia.During Warring States Period,Qin and Han Dynasty,the large-scale use of agricultural tools in the Inner Mongolia area,coupled with the application of the field method,as well as its intensive farming and meticulous weeding,ensured the local grain production to a certain extent.A series of agricultural production links include harvesting,water irrigation,processing,storage,metering and transportation also promoted the development of local agriculture.The use of various agricultural tools also reflects the detailed and systematic development of agriculture in the northern border counties.
