The Study Of Permanent Teeth Of Warring-States Period Population From Tuchengzi Site, Helingeer County, Inner Mongolia

Tuchengzi site is the biggest city site in Inner Mongolia region. It is located in the south of Yinshan and the north of Yellow River and was the important political, military, economic and cultural center in the ancient times. The author used the cross-sectional descriptive method and a variety of statistical analysis to study the mouth diseases of 149 skulls with 2353 permanent teeth of the Warring States Period kept in the physical anthropology laboratory of Jilin University and receiving some related data of the teeth disease of that time. At the same time, the author compared the results with the people of different ages. On one hand, we got some knowledge about the health, the bite and sup framework and the living condition of the people in the warring states period in Tuchengzi. On the other hand, it provided the related data and clues about the study of the mouth diseases of the ancient people.This paper can be divided into eight parts.The first part is preface. In this part, the author introduced the content and significance of tooth study and also something about the object of study.The second part is the study of tooth wear. In this part, the author studied the average degree of tooth wear, degrees of each dental position in the upper jaw and lower jaw and there are whether some differences between sexes and age or not.The third part is the study of dental caries. In this part, the author studied the prevalence rate of dental caries, the rate of dental caries and periapical disease and so on. The author also studied their development tendency with age and relationship among age, the predilection teeth and the side of dental caries inclined to occur.The fourth part is the study of Periodontal disease. In this part, the author studied the prevalence rate of Periodontal disease and the relationship among the prevalence rate, age and sexes.The fifth part is the study of malocclusion. The results show that, the normal rate is lower than the morbility rate of malocclusion and male morbility is much upper than female. In Angle classification of malocclusion,class I has a greater percentage than class II and class III.The sixth part is the study of the eruption of the third molars. In this part, the author studied the incidence of normally eruption, congenital missing and impaction. And there are whether or not some differences between sexes and between the lower and the upper jaw.The seventh part is the study of other observing objects. In this part, the author made a statistic analysis about abnormality of the tooth amount, Sinodonty, the obscission of tooth and the dental arch. The eighth part is the conclusion and discussion. The author made a conclusion about the whole paper. And the correlations were discussed either.
