Origin And Evolution Of Wokonghou

Wokonghou is a stringed musical instrument during Han and Tang Dynasties,which is mainly used in court sacrifice,banquet and folk religious activities.It originated in the Western Han Dynasty,and has been well developed and widely spread in the Eastern Han Dynasty,which is deeply loved by the court and the piblic.During the song and yuan dynasties,with the great social changes and the change of people’s aesthetic taste,the Wokonghou gradually declined and faded out of people’s sight.About the origin and history of Wokonghou,there are now only a few figurines unearthed in Qilijie,Ezhou,Hubei Province in 1980 and Shangfang,Jiangning,Jiangsu Province in 2005.In addition,there is still a lack of in-depth research from the literature.Based on this,this paper,on the basis of the previous research results,attempts to distinguish the existence and value of Wokonghou in the historical process through the collection and arrangement of documents and historical materials combined with the analysis and investigation of archaeological image data.I thought that,on the one hand,this paper analyzed and explored the origin of Wokonghou and its shape and structure in the process of transmission.On the other hand,this paper further analyzes the cultural value and the significance of the revival of Wokonghou through the interpretation of its prosperity and decline and the interpretation of its reform practice.This paper is divided into four chapters:The first chapter is about the cultural interpretation and historical origin of Wokonghou.The second chapter is the discussion on the rheology of the shape and system of Wokonghou.By sorting out the cultural relics of Wokonghou in different areas,the features of the shape and system of Koughou are analyzed.The third chapter mainly discusses the spread and influence of the Wokonghou in the Han Dynasty through the records of the ancient music and culture exchange and the literature works of the Han Dynasty.The fourth chapter mainly expounds the problems related to the change from prosperity to decline of the Wokonghou in the process of spreading,and deeply analyzes the cultural value and musical performance of Wokonghou which was an old Chinese musical instrument.
