| Zhu is one of the unique national instruments in China,which has been recorded in the pre-Qin literature.It flourished in the Han Dynasty and was widely used in music in the Sui and Tang Dynasties,but disappeared after the Song Dynasty.Based on the archaeological data and ancient documents,this paper combs,analyses and summarizes the instrument from the aspects of shape and evolution,type of use,musical expression,explores the playing method,modern development and application.On the basis of previous studies form the Han Dynasty,this paper makes a detailed study of the different forms of Zhu in different periods from pre-Qin to Tang and Song Dynasties,and explores the use forms in different periods,especially the type of use and functional classification of Zhu in bands.Finally,combined with the musical expression and shape characteristics,new ideas are made on the playing method and the application of modern stage. |
