As a traditional and effective way of learning,recitation has always been attached great importance to by our English learners and researchers.We are particularly supposed to study a more effective method in the global reading era.But according to the research,because of many reasons especially the lack of teachers' guidance,the recitation cannot be paid serious attention to.After investigating the current situation,the author finds that following are reasons: insufficient arrangement of reading time in class,insufficient English language input practice;insufficient attention paid by teachers and students after class;lack of enthusiasm for learning.In short,there is a great lack of language input and output practice.In this paper,the author chooses the students of the fifth grade as the research object.By means of questionnaires and final tests,the author studies and analyses the current situation of English learning in order to find out the existing problems.Then the author carries out the analysis of studying the practice of after-class recitation under the guidance of teachers,collecting and analyzing the relevant data thoroughly through quantitative methods.Therefore,the author puts forward and explores the research questions of this paper: 1.What is the current situation of students 'English recitation in Primary School A? 2.What is the effect to students' language recitation under teachers' guidance after-class? 3.What is the effect to teachers' career development?The result shows: 1.The current situation of students' language recitation is hardly satisfied;2.Strengthening teacher-guided recitation outside the classroom can generally enhance students' interest in English learning,and students' reading habits and learning effects have been improved greatly,and the students' English scores could be improved effectively;3.Strengthening teacher-guided recitation teaching mode outside the classroom can innovate teachers' teaching concept and accelerate the combination of teaching theory and practice,thus contributing to the professional development of teachers.Meanwhile,the author also puts down some reflections and some expectations of this thesis in the end,hoping more researchers can study more on it to improve our language teaching.
