Literary works are one of the important ways of cross-cultural communication.The translation of autobiographical literary works has a long history and plays an extremely important role in cross-cultural communication.Literary works with positive energy can not only attract domestic readers,but also play a good role in cross-cultural communication between countries.This is a translation report on memoir Educated,written by American writer Tara Westover.The report chooses Chapter One and Chapter Two as the source text.With plain and true words,Tara Westover shared her family and her life changing through education with readers.In the process of translation,the author finds that how to make the translated text and the original text equal and truly convey the original writer's expression intention is a difficulty.The author takes the three principles of Skopos theory as the theoretical guidance and conducts in-depth study through case analysis,aiming to find solutions to the problems and provide corresponding translation methods for autobiographical literature translation.The practice proves that the three principles of Skopos theory plays a very important role in forming a true memoir translation with both literariness and readability.Through the detailed analysis of the translation examples of this translation report,the author provides some practical translation methods and techniques for the translation of autobiographical literature in the future,complements the research in the field of autobiographical literature translation,and better promotes the development of autobiographical literature translation.
