Imagination Of The Post-human Body

Science fiction is the product of today’s imagination of the future.What the future people are like occupies an important position in the science fiction works,especially the science fiction movies vividly display the images of the future people with dynamic and intuitive images,tell the stories of the future people,and convey the imagination of the future people more deeply in the hearts of people.In fact,in the imagination of people in the future,all kinds of ideas about people at present also permeate in it,forming the source of imagination and the deep structure of the text.Therefore,this study focuses on the image of "heterogeneous life" in science fiction movies,and attempts to explore the concept of posthuman body hidden in these narratives through the analysis of the narratives surrounding it.In this study,50 film texts were screened by Bayes formula,and 35 science fiction films containing the image of "heterogeneous life" were selected as research samples according to the focus object of this study.Then,using prop’s conceptual tool of narrative function in structuralist narrative theory,through the analysis of 35 samples,nine narrative functions including "arrival,humiliation,transformation,training,awakening,seeking,resistance,getting help and ending" were abstracts.On this basis,combined with the analysis of the sub-functions and different functional combinations of the nine functions,we find three combination forms: "transformation-training-end","advent-awakening-search","humiliation-end/awakening-resistance".In the process of analyzing the deduction,change and combination of the image narrative function of "heterogeneous life",this study combined with Maurice MerleauPonty’s body order,Michel Foucault’s history and Freud’s psychoanalytic theory,from the three aspects of body configuration,body perception and body power,this paper expounds that the deep meaning of the image narrative function of "heterogeneous life" lies in the imagination meaning of human body.Specific include: life-size figure from carbon,cyber,away from the body structure of the "end" imagine to emphasize the body order;Perception as "awakening" key imagination to remember body history;Through two kinds of narration of utopia and dystopia,the two endings of "the end" and "the resistance" are respectively presented to warn the struggle to maintain the will to power.Therefore,the body of "heterogeneous life" is both the imagination of science fiction and the metaphor of meaning,which is an aspect of our present,our future and our incarnation.
