An Analysis Of Post-human Characteristics In Sci-fi Films

Science fiction film is essentially the cultural practice of Posthumanism in genre films,a narrative medium about post humans.In the typical text of visual sci-fi,"post-human" is transformed from realistic "possibility" to imaginary "fiction".Posthumanism researchers are able to find more appropriate illustrative examples in science fiction texts,thereby enriching the relatively narrow and limited scope of their subjects.It is helpful for us to renew our understanding of the special context of sci-fi films,that is,science fiction films as an artistic genre in the age of "the Anthropocene",respond to the long-standing relationship between the medium form and its fictional object.However,the study of post-human characteristics in sci-fi movies is still scattered。Scholars have not classified,summarized and interpreted the Science Fiction Narrative from the perspective of the subjectivity of post-human beings.The continuous narration of the post-human subject in sci-fi films has been gradually internalized as a text of genre consciousness and a landmark audio-visual landscape.This paper will grasp the post-human characteristics in sci-fi films from the following four aspects: body,space,self-awareness and identity.Post-humanity is first of all the deconstruction and reconstruction of the human body,which is the concept of the first chapter of this article named "productive.The post-human body deconstruction will also take place in the "transcendental" virtual space.In the virtual space,people get rid of the shackles of real space and become heterogeneous space rovers.At the level of post-human consciousness,the"abstract" thinking ability of human beings has been informationalized into a visible"intelligent" medium.Post-human social status relations also adjust accordingly.In the process of visual transcoding of sci-fi texts,post-human images show the characteristics of reality,imagination and artistry.In the introduction part,the author explains and clarifies the significance of the topic selection and the original concept of post-human.At the same time,the author also combed the research results of post-human culture at home and abroad.The first chapter is to demonstrate the appropriateness of introducing "post-human" theory into sci-fi texts.In the discourse of science and Technology,information theory,cybernetics and system theory are the key terms to explain the generation of "post-human".The sci-fi text constructs the visual post-human image,the plot conflict and the theme direction around these three points.The author transforms the concept of post-human into "Paradigm" : post-human’s "information" fiction,post-human’s "control" fiction and post-human’s "connection" fiction.Therefore,"post-human" becomes the rhetoric object in the sci-fi text.This constitutes the inner clue of sci-fi film analysis.In the second chapter,the author generalizes the Physical Characteristics of post-human beings as "productive".The text of sci-fi Films Narrates Visual Wonders and represents cognitively from the artificial "variation" of the post-human body."physicality" is a dynamic term that emphasizes the posthuman instability of bodily form。The post-human body is in a state of constant "generation" and "differentiation" from the carbon-based body.This paper interprets this feature as "productive" in the post-human body.It mainly manifests in the post-human body function,the body politics and the body consumption.The generation of post-human space is the result of the interaction between technology "simulation" and human neural "connection".Therefore,the human space has the characteristic of virtuality.The third chapter is the post-human space in the reflects the reality tension that human culture is highly "mediated" at present.The fifth chapter is the analysis of the identity characteristics of post-human subject.Post-human beings have already possessed the subjectivity partly or wholly from the production of body,the virtual environment of space and the media transformation of consciousness.These post-human subjects in the "future" social interaction process is bound to produce identity construction and self-identity demands.In order to separate from the traditional identity of humanism and highlight the differences,the author tentatively named it "non-humanity".This chapter summarizes the characteristics of post-human identity from three dimensions.Post-human beings are deliberately deified as a kind of transcendent being,in order to keep a prudent distance,"non-humanity" has become almost a symbol of identity taboo.Secondly,the subject relations of the post-human society are becoming more and more diverse,showing the complexity of the post-human environment.Finally,this paper discusses the issue of post-human subject’s identity ethics in the power competition.In the conclusion,the author insists that the post-human character of sci-fi films is discussed at the level of images and can not be regarded as the authentic prophetic text of the future.However,it reflects the complex cultural attitude of the new relationship between human beings and the future technology.The anthropocene is regarded as a transitional period in which technology merges with human beings.In the context of the Anthropocene,all human values need to be reassessed,including the meaning of human life.The study of post-human images in sci-fi film will help us to expand our thinking of human life and imagination of survival.
