Research On The Body Aesthetics Of Cyborg’s Image In Science Fiction Films

As the development of high-tech biotechnology,it has been more and more common for human beings to transform their bodies,then we step into the post-human era,and aesthetic thinking about the body also broadens the horizon.As a visual art about science and fantasy,sci-fi films present us with a very rich and three-dimensional view of cyborg images and post-human society.This paper mainly selects more than 40 sci-fi films related to cyborg as research samples,and analyzes the body aesthetic construction and aesthetic thinking of cyborg’s image from the perspective of body,then reflects and prospects the development of technology and human from the perspective of post-humanism.Concretely speaking,this paper is divided into five parts:The first part briefly discusses the research background and significance of this paper,and summarizes the relevant research at home and abroad at the same time.The main part of the paper is Chapters 2,3,and 4:Chapter 2 overviews the development of the sci-fi movies and cyborg,which summarizes the general development,characteristics and the current situation of films related to cyborg,then traces the origin of man-machine symbiosis and defines cyborg’s scientific concept,definition and image presentation in the film to determine the research object of this paper.Chapter 3 is to analyze the aesthetic construction of cyborg’s image in films.Firstly,the categories of cyborg’s image are divided into three types:Specimen with heterozygous gene,man-machine integration and cyborg in virtual environment.Secondly,the physical characteristics of cyborg are summarized as four parts:repair,enhancement,rebirth or immortality and travel through space-time.Chapter 4 mainly talks about the aesthetic value of cyborg’s image:it is the disintegration and reconstruction of human subjectivity,the elimination of the duality of men and women and the subversion of gender order,and talks about disembodiment and embodiment,then discusses the dead or alive of cyborg in the films and the imbalance and balance of the relationship between human and technology.Finally,the conclusion points out that cyborg is a new landscape of human existence,and attempts to generalize the characteristics of somaesthetics into three aspects:technicalization,diversification and informatization.Generally speaking,the development of cyborg technology in the future will have a qualitative leap,and the post-human society will be inevitable.But it will lead human to the ideal utopia,the "beautiful new world" or other direction,we can not predict now,but we can hold an optimistic outlook on it while adhering to the bottom line of ethics to ensure that technology always benefits human.
