Hurricane disasters have always been a major threat to human society.During the Qing Dynasty,Qiongzhou Mansion was located on Hainan Island and governed the South China Sea.It belongs to one of the areas with frequent hurricane disasters.Therefore,the study of the hurricane disaster in Qiongzhou Prefecture of the Qing Dynasty is the most important research in the history of natural disasters in Hainan Province.This article mainly studies the hurricane and its social response in Qiongzhou Prefecture of the Qing Dynasty.Use for reference.The dissertation first selects historical materials such as Hainan local chronicles,Qingshi records,and Qing history drafts as a carrier for extracting hurricane information from the Qiongzhou Prefecture of the Qing Dynasty.It also counts these hurricane information and counts 111 hurricane disasters.Although these hurricane disaster records did not occur during the Qing Dynasty,All the hurricane records of Qiongzhou Mansion,but still typical,so further analysis,found that most of the hurricane disasters in Qiongzhou Mansion in the Qing Dynasty occurred in summer and autumn,and there were frequent hurricanes in one year.After analysis,it is found that there are differences and common ground compared with today's hurricanes.In addition,after analyzing some hurricane paths,it is found that the pattern of their routes is roughly the same as that of modern hurricanes.The strong wind and heavy rainfall generated by the hurricane disaster and the flood and tide disasters caused by it not only caused a large number of casualties,but also caused great damage to construction,agriculture,fisheries,and shipping.Based on the analysis of the natural characteristics and social impact of the hurricane disaster in Qiongzhou Prefecture of the Qing Dynasty,combined with geography and historical research methods,the comprehensive analysis was used to select the degree of impact of natural and social impact factors on the hurricane disaster of Qiongzhou Prefecture in the Qing Dynasty.Comprehensive assessment,according to the results of the impact of the hurricane disaster,can be divided into three levels of light disaster,medium disaster,and severe disaster,and specific analysis after the severe disaster year.In order to prevent hurricane disasters,people in Qiongzhou are rebuilding warehousing and constantly exploring the laws of hurricanes.At the same time,the government formed a series of methods and measures to carry out disaster relief activities in the Qing Dynasty.Civilian forces also actively participated in disaster relief work.At the spiritual level,Qiongzhou government society in the Qing Dynasty also formed a unique sacrifice and folk belief culture during the disaster relief.
