"YanShiJiaXun " is a representative work in the history of family education.Its main method of education is to educate children’s virtue through historical stories.The way of history education in Yan Family Instructions is unique,and it can provide reference and experience for history education in contemporary social education,school education and family education.Therefore,this article focuses on the historical education of"YanShiJiaXun ",discusses the historical background of its history education,sorts out the main contents of historical education,analyzes the characteristics of its historical education,and through the study of’YanShiJiaXun " history education,Summarize the beneficial measures for contemporary history education,improve the shortcomings of contemporary history education,and give full play to the educational role of history education in transferring knowledge and cultivating virtue.Through literature analysis,the author points out that the reasons for the emergence of history education in the Family Instructions of Yan Clan are mainly influenced by Yan Zhitui’s life experience,by the Confucianism of the Yan Clan generations,by the methods of administering Confucian classics during the Southern and Northern Dynasties,the rising status of historical disciplines during the Northern and Southern Dynasties,and the characteristics of readers’ psychological development.Yan Zhitui uses a large number of historical stories to educate his children and grandchildren.The content of education mainly includes three aspects:encouragement,self-cultivation,and Qi family.In order to achieve the purpose of education,Yan Zhitui pays attention to the authenticity of the selected historical stories in the history education,pays attention to the selection of historical cases in contemporary reality,pays attention to the selection of content based on the psychological development characteristics of children,pays attention to the combination of positive and negative historical stories and conducts scientific and reasonable analysis.These properties can also be applied in today’s history education.When compiling related history education books,we must pay attention to choosing historical stories that conform to historical facts,face reality,and conduct reasonable scientific analysis,so that we can make full use of the history and culture of the Chinese nation.Resources to cultivate children’s excellent qualities of self-cultivation.
