Flowers, especially cherry blossom, have a very special position in the Japanese mind.Balimon,a Russian poet, visited Japan and published his impressions in the newspaper after his return. He praised Japan very much and wrote at the end of his travels: "Japan and Japanese love flowers. The country of sunrise, the country of flowers." Because of different growing regions and varieties, flowers have thousands of postures, each with its own lively and melancholy life.Whether rise or fall, each has its own beauty."The Japanese believe that flowers are divine because of their beauty." in Japan, there are many things named after flowers, such as "flower path","male flower","flower sumo",etc. While "falling flowers" make people intoxicated,it also contains two states: one is the dynamic flowers flying in the air,the other is the static flowers that have fallen and stay somewhere.Flying "falling flowers" seem to trigger more sentimental emotions. In contrast, the "falling flowers" that have settled the dust bring the poet a more silent emotional experience.Flowers falling silent, residual fragrance still exist, often create a quiet atmosphere,so that the poet resonates with nature, while the inner leisurely and sad into poetry. In fact,as early as Nara and the period of peace, the "falling flower" has been floating in the hearts of Japanese poet, and has been widely sung into the harmony songs.Harmony is a typical Japanese traditional poetry, which shows the aesthetic consciousness and national character of the Japanese nation. To understand the spiritual life and inner literary essence of this nation,we can see the significance of reading and studying the harmony songs. In Japan,as the first collection of songs compiled by the imperial power, the collection of ancient and modern harmony songs not only established the basic form of Japanese short songs, but also had a profound influence on the creation of harmony songs in the future. If the collection of ancient and modern harmony songs is a sample to show the unique inner world of Japanese, the "falling flowers" harmony song is such a strong and colorful one in this book.In the theory of Chinese classical literature and art, image,as one of the aesthetic categories,is the most important concept to appreciate poetry and study the aesthetic value of poets. This paper introduces this concept, and on the basis of summing up the general situation and types of "falling flowers" and songs in the collection of ancient and modern harmony songs, explores the emotional connotation of "falling flowers" image in harmony songs from the three perspectives of lamenting the loss of time in spring, lamenting the loss of people and lamenting the impermanence of the world. At the same time, focusing on the Japanese poet'preference for "Sakura" and their infatuation with "the beauty of the moment",this paper further explores the aesthetic interest embodied in the image of "Sakura".Finally,in the image related to "falling flowers",taking the frequency of image occurrence and the particularity of image combination as the selection conditions, five combination images, such as "falling flowers and flowing water","falling flowers and flying snow" and "wind and falling flowers",are selected, and the implied emotional connotation and aesthetic interest are analyzed emphatically.Through the analysis of the emotional connotation and aesthetic taste of the image of "falling flowers",this paper can provide reference for the future development of poetry image research, and provide useful enlightenment for other harmony researchers.
