This article selects a representative set of textbooks for teaching Chinese as a foreign language on Chinese mainland and Taiwan as a research object,compares and analyzes the similarities and differences in the topical arrangement of the two sets of textbooks,including the proportion of various topics,the sequence of topics,the cultural content of topics,and the culture ideas of topics.Based on these concepts,combined with questionnaire surveys to explore learners' preferences for topics in textbooks,and analyze the characteristics and shortcomings of topic layout of the two sets of textbooks.The topic layout of the A Course in Chinese(revised edition)serves the orchestration of the grammatical structure.The topics of daily life account for most of the entire textbook.The sequence of the topics complies with learner interest and the topic learning sequence described in the International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education,Most content of topics are Chinese traditional culture and traditional values,and the discussion of topics is basic.The New Version of Practical Audiovisual Chinese emphasizes "multiple" and"comparisons".In addition to basic daily life topics,it also arranges a lot of social humanities and global topics,and the learning arrangements for various topics are more compact.In addition to showing the traditional Chinese culture,the topic content also introduces a large number of cultural characteristics of Taiwan and modern youth culture.The expression of ideas is more direct and the views are more diverse.Based on the characteristics of topic orchestration reflected in the two sets of textbooks,the shortcomings of topic orchestration,and the concept of textbook writing,the author believes that the following 5 aspects need to be taken seriously in the preparation of textbooks:adopting a variety of ways to coordinate language learning and topic orchestration;grasping the proportion of various topics and the boundaries of topic diversity;diversity of the setting of topic characters and backgrounds;the concept of"multiple" in writing textbook topics;adhering to objective principles.
