Folklore is a living and cultural phenomenon,which is formed gradually,emerged repeatly and handed down generation by generation in the historic developing course of a country or a nationality.The study of folk-custom is an important means and component of the social history research.The poetry of Song Dynasty record the folk-custom and folkways around the country in detail, and they extensively reflect the people's life in Song Dynasty. The poetry of Song Dynasty is one of the most important historiography for folklore research.Lu You's works are abundant,he has more than nine thousands poem in all his life.Most of them which reflect the folk-custom of the Song Dynasty have the high historical value.The writer try to make a research on Lu You's folk poetry,and discuss the things which is reflected in the poetry in order to get a more vivid understanding of the Song Dynasty society.The article is divided into three parts according to the things which is reflected in Lu You's poetry.In the part of the festival custom,the writer survey the poem by Lu You which is related to the Song Festival.On this basis,the writer particularly analyze the folk activities of ChuXi,YuanRi,ShangYuanJie and SheRi which were mentioned many times.In the part of the material folk custom,the writer make a particular research about the custom of wheat and paddy farming,sericulture production and divining agricultural production which are reflected in Lu You's poetry.Meanwhile,the writer also analyze the custom of food and drink,the ordinary people's houses,women's hair style and topknot which were recorded in Lu You's poetry. In the part of the faiths folk-custom,the writer make a detailed study of natural faith,belief in spirits,divination and sign of faith,which are reflected in Lu You's poetry.
