Laizhou is located in the eastern part of Shandong Province,at the western end of the city Yantai,and it is also in the transitional zone between Donglai and Dongwei films in the eastern region of Shandong dialect.It presents many transitional features in Laizhou dialect and there are also many phonetic differences inside.This article takes Laizhou dialect as the study object,based on the existing materials and predecessors' researches on the phonetics of Laizhou dialect,is with the purpose of thoroughly exploring,describing and analyzing the internal geographical phonetic differences of Laizhou dialect through field investigations.Via the work mentioned above,this article aims to show the overall appearance of Laizhou dialect,at the same time add some corresponding references to the regional characteristics of Shandong dialect,so as to facilitate the future research of dialect division and dialect contact.This article consists of five chapters.The first chapter,Introduction.Mainly introduces the geographical,historical and cultural conditions of Laizhou,and summarizes the existing research status of Laizhou dialect,which leads to the significance of this investigation and study.At the same time,it introduces the survey method,the selection of the survey sites and pronunciation collaborators used in this research institute.The second chapter,The Dialectal Phonetic System of the County of Laizhou.Taking Wenchang——the county town of Laizhou as a representative,this part describes the phonetic system such as the initials,the finals,the tones.etc,then makes some comparisons with Mandarin and middle Chinese sounds system,to better display the phonetic characteristics of Laizhou dialect.The third chapter,The Geographical Phonetic Differences Inside Laizhou Dialect.The investigation and discussion is mainly conducted from three parts:initials,finals and tones.The internal differences of initials comprise:the pronunciation of initials Zhi,Zhuang,Zhang initials;the pronunciation of initial Ni(Niang)before front-open vowels;the differences on the yi deng zi and er deng zi of Ying and Yi initials.The internal differences of finals comprise:the difference between opened and closed mouth while exhaling in the Geyun and Geyun from Guoshe and Duoyun from Dangshe,below the series of Jian initials;the difference between opened and closed mouth while exhaling in the yi deng zi and san deng zi,which are mouth-closed and Shutone of Xieshe,Zhishe,Shanshe,Zhenshe below the series of Duan initials;the difference on sound value of finals coming from Liushe;the sound value of i medial and y medial after the groups of Duan and Jing initials in retroflex finals;whether the retroflex finals of y and ye finals is the same or different.The internal difference of tones is the proportions of Yinping and Yangping which come from Qu tone.In addition to visually displaying the above differences through dialect maps and tables,we also try to explore the causes of these differences.The fourth chapter,The Comparisons on the Differential Characteristics of Laizhou Dialect with Surrounding Dialects.Make comparisons on the differential characteristics through collecting,analyzing and comparing,these differential features of Laizhou dialect will be placed in a larger range for investigation,then to present the contact and graduality of dialect.The fifth chapter,The Reason for The Existence of The Geographical Phonetic Differences in Laizhou Dialect.Aiming at the geographical distribution of the phonetic differences within Laizhou dialect,this chapter mainly discusses two main reasons:differences between dialect phonetic feature boundaries and administrative boundaries;the impact of Mandarin towards the dialect,and the dialect's own resistance.
