The idioms of inverse morphemes refers to a constituent language whose morphemes are the same and whose meanings are the same or similar. At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, the new culture movement arose, the new culture replaced the old culture, and the vernacular Chinese replaced the classical Chinese. The rapid development and transformation of the society promoted the development of vocabulary and produced many new words, including a large number of idioms of inverse morphemes. This paper studies the phenomenon of idioms of inverse morphemes in vernacular newspapers in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, and analyzes its types, characteristics, causes of formation and its significance to lexicography. The first chapter, formally,we can divide the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China into two categories: the overall sequence of idioms and the local sequence of idioms. The overall incoherent idiom refers to the idiom ABCD divided into two parts,AB and CD,and the former and the latter parts become CDAB with the same semantic meaning or similar. From the point of view of grammar, this paper classifies the structure types of the overall isotopic idioms into two types: isomorphic isotopic idioms and heterogeneous isotopic idioms.Isomorphism refers to the fact that the structures of the two isomorphism idioms are the same. The grammatical structure of iso-sequence idioms is changed, which is mainly the conversion between subject-verb and verb-object,subject-verb and dingzhong,zhong-zhong and zhongbu.A local incoherent idiom refers to an idiom in which the morphemes within the idiom change positions and the semantics remain unchanged or similar.First,ABCD—ABDC;The second kind of ABCD —ADCB incoherent idioms; The third kind of ABCD—BACD idioms; The fourth kind of ABCD— BADC idioms; The fifth kind of ABCD — CBAD idioms.Local dissimilar idioms can translocate between two morphemes and all four morphemes, and their grammatical structure is more complicated. The second to the third chapters of the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China onthe idioms of inverse morphemes. The fourth chapter discusses the characteristics of idioms of inverse morphemes in the late Qing and early Republic of China.Groups of idioms of inverse morphemes in the late Qing and early Republic of China. The relationship between the parts is complex and complicated. The conversion of the components of idioms of inverse morphemes is not random, but follows certain grammatical rules and has regular characteristics. In the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, some idioms originated from ancient Chinese, some came into being in the late Qing Dynasty, some continued into modern Chinese, and some died out rapidly, showing distinctive transitional characteristics.Chapter five explains the causes of the emergence of idioms of inverse morphemes in the late Qing and early Republic of China. From the perspective of the internal factors of language, the emergence of lexical factors, especially polyphonic words and homotopy words, has laid an important lexical support for the formation of homotopy heterotopy idioms. From the perspective of external factors, first,in the late qing dynasty,"the integration of literature and language" was vigorously advocated. The development of vernacular Chinese made a great breakthrough, and it had a broader social and mass basis.Second, under the influence of social environment factors at the end of the qing dynasty, the linguistic fashion of "seeking common customs" and "seeking differences" provided the premise and possibility for the emergence of a large number of idioms of the same origin in different order at the end of the qing dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China.Thirdly, symmetry thinking mode, similar association and contrastive association of the han nationality provided an important basis for the generation of a large number of idioms of the same element in different order in the late qing dynasty and the early Republic of China. The sixth chapter is the compilation and revision of the same and different order idioms and the Chinese dictionary in the late qing dynasty and early Republic of China. In the late qing dynasty and the early Republic of China, the inclusion of identical idioms in the Chinese dictionary can be divided into four types: two orders collected, one order collected, one order not collected and two orders not collected. In addition, there are many idioms in the same order inthe Chinese dictionary, most of which are in one order. From the perspective of the history of modern Chinese, idioms in the same order show a trend of development from more to less, from non-standard to gradually standard.
