The so-called "bad film" is not a kind of film type,but after some films are produced,they are judged subjectively by the researchers or the audience at that time.Because of the lack of artistic ideology and aesthetic sense of the lens,they are excluded from the excellent films,which are called "bad films".It is not until the 21 st century that the phenomenon of "rotten films" appeared.Throughout the world film history for more than100 years,each country’s film development in different periods has been identified as "rotten films" at that time.Even in the same era,different evaluators will make different definitions and understandings of "rotten films".Therefore,the concept and phenomenon of "rotten film" need to be treated in a more dialectical way."Bad film" can be defined by the criteria of film box office,website score,expert evaluation,etc.from the specific form of "bad film",it can be divided into three types: content "bad film","performance" bad film ",and production" bad film ",which also respectively reflect the prominent problems in the current film production,such as the lack of good script,inadequate actor performance skills,rough production,etc.;at the same time The phenomenon of "rotten pieces" has brought some negative effects,which not only disturbs the market order and causes the mechanism of bad coins expelling good ones,but also has a negative effect on the culturalatmosphere,reflecting a secular appreciation of ugliness and cultural kitsch.Seeing the essence through the phenomenon,the formation reason of "rotten film" phenomenon is complex,not only lies in the defects of the market pattern and human resources of the film industry itself,but also in the distribution link of the film under the background of the whole media.In addition,the increasing participation of the audience in the early and late stages of film production and distribution is also an important reason.According to these causes,the author puts forward some suggestive solutions to the phenomenon of "rotten films".From the market point of view,it is necessary to achieve standardization and specialization,encourage the development of diversity,and guide the audience to a certain extent,so as to effectively rectify the chaos in the film industry and gradually improve the quality of films.Film has the dual attributes of art and commerce,so we can’t only look at it from the perspective of capital and form the trend of box office supremacy;we can’t only pursue the artistry and ignore its commercial value.At present,with the prosperity and development of China’s film market,if we want to become a cultural country with self-sufficient value,we must rectify the chaos of "rotten films",attach importance to and improve the quality of domestic films.Only by achieving the perfect unity of film culture and commerciality,and telling Chinese stories with mature film language,can we truly promote the "going out" of Chinese films and spread andpromote excellent Chinese culture.
