Causes Of The Logical Chaos In Spanish-Chinese Consecutive Interpretation And Its Coping Strategies

As an indispensable part in consecutive interpretation,logic plays an important role in both source language and target language.Since these two languages belong to two different language systems and have their own logical expression habits,in the process of language conversion,problems such as difficulty in logical reconstruction usually lead to the logical chaos of the target language.This thesis takes the Forum of Business and Investment Opportunities in the Dominican Republic as an example to discuss the causes of the logical chaos in Spanish-Chinese consecutive interpretation and its coping strategies.First of all,the author refers to relevant theories and concepts,summarizes the previous research,combines own practical experience to define the logical chaos of Spanish-Chinese consecutive interpretation and give it a specific classification criterion(logical missing,logical misinterpretation and logical abuse).Secondly,on the basis of the specific examples,the author explains and analyzes the logical chaos from three categories: insufficient listening and analysis of logical information,ambiguous note-taking of logical relationship and improper expression of logical connectors.Finally,pointed practical coping strategies on the three reasons above will be proposed: enhance logical listening and analysis ability(optimize effort allocation,improve logical clarification ability and identify implicit logical information),strengthen logical note-taking capacity(summarize abstract symbols and connectors of logical relations and highlight logical information layer of notes)and refine logical expression of the target language(replace long sentences with short sentences,avoid the abuse of logical connectors and improve self-monitoring ability).
