The Research About The Facial Lexical Semantic Field In Origin Of Chinese Characters

Xu Shen’s Origin of Chinese Characters(hereinafter referred to as Shuowen),the first systematic dictionary in China,is also the first part of the history of Chinese linguistics to analyze the shape,interpret the meaning and identify ancient sounds.A large number of exegetical achievements in the pre-Qin and Han dynasties preserved in the book are of great academic value for us to extract the sememes of Chinese vocabulary,to form the sememes and to construct the semantic field.Language,as the most important communication tool of human beings,has a long history of body vocabulary system,which is the most basic component of the basic vocabulary of ancient Chinese.Face is a part of the human head.The important organs used to express emotions,observe the outside world,eat and speak,and listen and speak are all concentrated in this area.This paper makes a deep study of the facial lexical semantic field of the human body branch,which is the core of the Chinese semantic field,and restores and verifies the relationship with Shuowen and ancient corpus.Through the exhaustive collection,classification and investigation of the related facial vocabulary in the prefaces of Shuowen,the author determines the original meaning of each word by using the dictionary and dictionary explanations written by predecessors.According to the semantic restriction relation of inferior and inferior semantic fields in the semantic field,the method of dividing inferior semantic fields from superior semantic fields is adopted to divide the inferior semantic fields into the smallest sub-fields step by step.Secondly,sememes are extracted from each word in each level of semantic field,and then many sememes are arranged scientifically one by one according to the relationship between common sememes and distinctive sememes.On this basis,a complete and detailed facial lexical semantic field system is constructed from total to score,from high to low,and from large to small,and then the internal composition relations and rules of the semantic field are discussed in detail.Finally,by revealing the sememe structure and sememe formation system of the facial words in Shuowen,the overall system of the micro-structure of sememes,the classification of sememe groups and the hierarchical structure of each word in the sememe field is formed.With the help of ancient exegetics and traditional semantics,and with the help of modern semantics,this paper takes Shuowen,an outstanding work in ancient Chinese studies,as the object of study,to make a deep study of the structure of all the lexical semantic systems of Shuowen from the source of facial vocabulary.Each facial lexical sememe series is extracted,and the complete sememe forms are listed.Finally,a more rigorous facial sememe field system is formed,which provides some reference for the construction of the human body lexical sememe field in ancient Chinese.Facial vocabulary research is less specialized,and more focused on the level of modern Chinese.Breakthroughs in topics and the use of academic methods will gradually enrich and improve the academic achievements of human vocabulary and vocabulary history in ancient Chinese.Ancient Chinese and modern Chinese always belong to the relationship of origin and flow.The solution of the problem of origin naturally lays a solid foundation for the discussion of the later related problems.It can be used as a reference for the semantic research and the establishment of semantic field of modern Chinese facial vocabulary in terms of system perfection,theoretical integration and practical operation.
