Quantifiers in Chinese are very abundant, and the scope of application of quantifiers in daily life is also very wide. The ability to use quantifiers correctly is an important criterion for detecting whether students can use Chinese correctly. In Chinese, quantifiers can be divided into nominal quantifiers and momentum words, among which the quantity of nominal quantifiers is very abundant and the collocation between them and nouns is not completely fixed. This kind of complex diversity has become a major difficulty for foreign students when they learn Chinese quantifiers. There are also quantifiers called "auxiliary numerals" in Japanese, and there are also auxiliary numerals similar to nominal quantifiers in Chinese. These two are very similar in nature. Both can be followed by numerals to indicate the number or type of people and things. Both belong to a unit of measurement, but they are in the form of There are some differences in many aspects such as grammatical functions. For example, the overlapping form of Chinese quantifiers will be much richer than the Japanese auxiliary numerals. The position of Chinese quantifiers in sentences is also different from the auxiliary numerals in sentences. For Japanese Chinese learners, when they are learning Chinese quantifiers, the existence of the Japanese “numerical numerator” will not only bring them convenience, but also bring many challenges.Japanese learners also There will be many special deviations from other countries. This thesis is based on the investigation of Japanese students at intermediate and advanced levels of Shanghai International Studies University. With reference to the "Success Road" series of textbooks and the "Chinese Character Vocabulary and Outline of Chinese Characters",28 common error-pronoun quantifiers are selected. These quantifiers were compared and analyzed in terms of definition, classification, semantic features, syntax, pragmatic functions, etc.,and a questionnaire was designed based on the results of the comparative analysis. Finally, the mastery of the Chinese quantifiers was investigated through a questionnaire survey.A total of 48 validquestionnaires were collected in this dissertation. The type of quantifiers with little difference in meaning and usage between Chinese and Japanese was found to have the smallest error rate, and the type of quantifiers in Chinese but not in Japanese was the second most. The larger quantifiers have the highest error rate.Among them, the main reason for the mistakes of quantifiers in Japanese students lies in the negative transfer of the mother tongue and the generalization of the target language. Finally, aiming at the more frequent quantifiers and the reasons for the errors, this thesis proposes teaching suggestions from three aspects: teachers, classroom teaching and learners. For teachers, the comparative teaching between Chinese and Japanese nominal quantifiers should be strengthened. At the same time,we should also pay attention to the teaching of discriminative analysis between Chinese nominal quantifiers,so that students can use and practice in practical situations. In classroom teaching,we can start from the historical sources of quantifiers and the perception of things between Chinese and Japanese people.Strengthen students’ understanding and memory of quantifiers;for learners, they should clarify their learning goals and change their learning attitude when learning Chinese quantifiers.
