With the development of the times,the educational concept of senior high school English is changing.We need to pay more attention to whether the English skills learned by students have practical value for future development,and fully understand the importance of developing students’ English comprehensive pragmatic ability.In this context,English grammar teaching should also reflect the characteristics of "generative" and "constructive",which makes grammar an important means for students to master language communication skills.The difficulty of grammar content in the new edition of the teaching materials of the people’s education society is gradually increasing,and the grammar knowledge points involved are more extensive,which brings new challenges to the grammar teaching of high school English teachers.Therefore,it is important and necessary to discuss the current situation of grammar teaching and analyze the existing problems.Xi’an senior high school in Shaanxi province adopted the teaching material "senior high school English" for teaching.The author conducted an investigation on the teachers and students of a senior high school in the city.This study is based on the new edition of the English textbook for Senior High School of the people’s Education Association.According to the grammar teaching theories at home and abroad,combined with the requirements of the new curriculum standard of our country,through the questionnaire survey and interview,it investigates 15 senior high school English teachers and 160 senior high school students in a middle school in Xi’an,and uses spss22.0 to analyze and discuss the survey results,so as to study the grammar teaching of the English textbook for Senior High School about the current situation and existing problems,and put forward some counter measures to solve the problem.This study focuses on the following questions:(1)What about the current situation of grammar teaching in the new edition of English for high school?(2)What are the problems and reasons in grammar teaching of the new edition of English for senior high school?It is found that most teachers can combine theory with practice,flexibly adjust the content of teaching materials to conduct more scientific grammar teaching,while most students are more inclined to use task-based teaching method.At present,thereare some problems in the grammar teaching of high school English,which are: a small number of teachers’ backward teaching ideas affect the effectiveness of grammar teaching;teachers neglect to use appropriate grammar teaching strategies,resulting in the low effectiveness of grammar teaching at this stage;teachers’ educational ideas are too traditional to be applicable to the teaching of high school English.In order to cultivate the ability of senior high school students to use English grammar,based on the problems existing in the grammar teaching of senior high school English,the author puts forward some countermeasures to solve the problems :re-positioning the grammar teaching and recompiling the grammar textbook.Senior high school English teachers should consciously change the grammar and grammar teaching concepts,combine the grammar teaching with reading and writing,and cultivate students’ generative learning Learning ability,developing cognitive research grammar teaching practice. |
