Research On The Image Of The Elderly In Ann Hui's Family Ethical Movies

This article takes the representative image of the elderly in Ann Hui's family ethics movies as the research object,and on the basis of fully sorting out Ann Hui's personal life and creative features,studies the classification and shaping methods of the elderly image.The main body of this article is divided into four chapters.The first chapter mainly sorts out the typical image of characters and Foster's theory of characters,clarifies the theoretical basis of this article,summarizes the stage of Ann Hui's creative process,and defines the scope of her family ethics movies.The second chapter classifies the image of the elderly,the flat image of the elderly can be divided into the lonely one and the happy one,and the round image of the elderly can be divided according to the following three characteristics:from closed to open,from stubborn to sympathetic,from wanting to escape to return.The third chapter studies the unique techniques of shaping the image of the elderly,and indicates that Ann Hui's narrative perspective is both rational and sensuous,her time and space settings are complex and changeable,and the image style is calm.The fourth chapter summarizes the two core themes of Ann Hui's family ethics movies:bereavement and separation,expounding Ann Hui's compassion for social life and the exploration of identity attribution.
