As the most typical traditional festival of the Chinese nation,the Spring Festival carries people's good wishes to bid farewell to the old and welcome in the new.With the development of society,the cultural impact of various countries and the gradual loss of Spring Festival customs,the inheritance and development of traditional Chinese culture is faced with great challenges,especially young people's understanding of the Spring Festival is mostly at the level of basic customs,little understanding of the spiritual and cultural connotation behind the festival.China's historical records on the festival culture are rich,but the current research on the Spring Festival is mostly from the perspective of customs,myths and legends to analyze the Spring Festival culture or study the auspicious symbols of the Spring Festival,few people on the visual image of the Spring Festival concise and build.This paper takes the study of Spring Festival culture as the theoretical support,introduces the study of Spring Festival visual image,explores the methods and contents of Spring Festival visual image design,and then guides the design practice of Spring Festival visual image.Firstly,the research background,research purpose and significance of Spring Festival visual image design are described,and the research method and framework are determined.Secondly,from the origin and development of the Spring Festival,customs,legends and stories of the three aspects of the Spring Festival culture to comb and summarize,elaborated on the significance and role of visual image of the Spring Festival and the ancient and modern visual image of the Spring Festival to explore and organize;Through the comparative study of the Spring Festival and Christmas,the current situation of the visual image design of the Spring Festival,existing problems and reasons are analyzed.Based on the above theoretical research on the cultural and visual image design of the Spring Festival,problems are found and solved.The image of the god of wealth is obtained as the main image prototype of the design part and it is summarized.At the same time,discusses the Spring Festival visual image design positioning,design principles,design methods;Last Spring Festival visual image design practice in guiding theory,the design elements of visual image design to try the Spring Festival,concise and build the Spring Festival main image and the derivatives were designed and integrated into the local culture elements in the design,through the use of Chinese cultural elements to improveidentification,combining theory and practice in line with The Times to create the characteristics of the visual image.In the backdrop of the national advocacy to the development of cultural heritage,the Spring Festival,the practice and application of visual image design,to awaken people to the Spring Festival and other traditional festivals mental perception of the world,will design root soil of Chinese traditional culture,to strengthen the identity of the traditional culture,people,inspire the national people's patriotic enthusiasm,strengthen the sense of national pride.It is hoped that this paper can make some attempts for the festival cultural creative products and provide certain theoretical and methodological basis for the research of the traditional festival visual image design.
