At present,China’s off-campus art education and training institutions are undertaking most supplementary tasks of children’s art training and education,and they are also responsible for the exploration and innovation of children’s art teaching method.Due to children’s limited time of attention for all ages,it is difficult to maintain the focus of whole class on the single teaching content with monotonous teaching method in the course.The author found that the stories from Chinese classical literature are rich in content,and many mythical stories can effectively mobilize children’s enthusiasm.Applying those stories in children’s art courses can spread the national cultural spirit and inherit the traditional cultural connotation.The experiential teaching method can construct the scenes of the classical literature stories,and enable children to gain experience with a variety of different boundaries through intuitive experiences such as game interaction.In the first chapter of this study,this paper expounds the research and innovation of children’s art experiential teaching based on the content of classical literature,sorts out and analyzes relevant research papers at home and abroad.Relevant concepts of classic literature story,story teaching method and children’s painting evaluation have also been defined.The second chapter reviews the use of experiential teaching method in children’s art courses and believes that classical literature stories has certain advantages in the application of children’s art experiential teaching.In the third chapter,the story content is selected per the requirements of high narration,visibility and acceptability.According to the four stages of course preparation,experience,creation and evaluation,the specific case design is conducted for children’s art experiential teaching before the course experiment.The fourth chapter carried out specific practice for "To Borrow Arrows with Thatched Boats","Monkey Subdues White-Skeleton Demon ","Nvwa Mended the Fallen" and "Fishing in Snow" the four concrete practice teaching experiment through the role playing small theater,shadow play performances,cartoon image contrast and outdoor fieldwork to explore the four different forms of experiential teaching.Lowenfeld children’s painting checklist is used to evaluate the experiment result from both subjective and objective aspect.The development of cognition with teaching experiments on children ’ s seven different areas of experience is also investigated including emotional growth,intellectual growth,perceived growth,aesthetic growth,creative growth,social growth and physiological growth.The fifth chapter concludes that the merge of classical literature story content and children’s art experiential teaching is of significance to children’s art teaching in literature and art integration and enhancing the diversification of culture.It can also improve the systematization and richness of teaching content and method,which enables children to fully mobilize the passion and stimulate creativity in painting.In children’s art courses,classical literature stories are used as teaching content,and experiential teaching method is used as teaching strategy to carry out children’s art course practice,which provides children’s art courses with deeper cultural connotation,higher conformity with children’s psychological characteristics,enriching the teaching methods can improve the construction of children’s art curriculum.
