Grammar learning is an important part of language learning,which directly affects the formation of students’ comprehensive ability to use language.However,after the new curriculum reform,many teachers believe that English teaching is to cultivate students’ communicative competence.Some teachers began to downplay grammar teaching,which is one-sided,wrong.In terms of grammar teaching,according to the study,there are still many teachers who directly tell students the grammar rules,and then ask them to do the exercises,and finally ask the students to simply memorize.In view of this,this study attempts to apply experiential teaching approach to the teaching of junior middle school English grammar.Its aim is to improve the classroom efficiency of grammar classes.At the same time,this study focuses on the following two questions:1.Can experiential teaching approach improve the English grammar scores of junior high school students?2.Can experiential teaching approach improve the interest of junior high school students in learning English grammar?This research adopts researches such as literature research,questionnaire and experimental approaches.After the experiment,the independent T-test is carried out on the pre-test and the post-test grammar scores of the EC and the CC.And the paired-sample T-test is performed on the pre-test and post-test grammar scores of the EC.The percentage statistics of the questionnaire results are performed.And the interview results are analyzed comprehensively.Based on the analysis of the research data,this study draws the following conclusions.Experiential teaching approach has achieved good results in English grammar teaching in junior middle school,which is manifested in: 1.It can significantly improve students’ English grammar scores,especially for middle-class students who have strong desire to improve their English scores.2.It can significantly improve students’ interest in learning English,especially for students who areoutgoing,love to express themselves,and are good at communicating with others.In addition,the study also finds that experiential teaching has different effects on students with different levels of learning,personality,interests,and learning goals.As for the difference in this impact,further research is needed.Experiential grammar teaching approach is an efficient grammar teaching approach which provides a reference for further research on experiential teaching and grammar teaching.
