A Study On The Diversity Of Expression Of National Feelings In Martial Arts Films In The New Century

As a unique type of Chinese films,martial arts films took shape earlier and had an important influence in the world,and it has many research values.In this article,I will pick martial arts films which possess home countries feelings since the new century as the research object,selecting sample films like "Hero"(2002),"Fearless"(2006),"Bodyguards and Assassins"(2009),"The Grandmaster"(2013),"Hidden Man"(2018)and other films,utilizing intensive reading,contrastive study,literature study,case study and other methods to study the phenomenon of diversified expression of home countries feelings and analyses the concrete embodiments of the expression and also excavate its value and significance in the aesthetic aspect.This paper can be roughly divided into five parts: first,the first part from the origin,definition,classification and historical evolution of martial arts films,sorts out the general situation of the development of martial arts films;Secondly,the second part from the story and plot of the setting,the image of chivalrous men and the way to achieve the theme of the narrative structure,expounds the expression of diversified feelings of the state of the family reflected in the narrative structure;Thirdly,the third part starts from the visual expression,auditory expression,symbol and metaphor and other film language,to elaborate the expression of diversified feelings of home and country in the film language.Then,the fourth part explores the aesthetic significance behind the diversification of the expression of the feelings of the family and the country,starting with its causes,creation and characteristics.In the last part,I think about the future development of martial arts films.The innovation of this paper is mainly divided into two points.First,through a close reading of the text illustrating the film,it points out that there are differences between martial arts films before and after the new century in the expression of national feelings,and the differences are reflected in the expression of national feelings in martial arts films since the new century from the previous single to diversified;Second,study martial arts film and various relations between home and the feelings of writings from cultural aspects,and this article foothold in the aestheticlevel,and by using the theory of reception aesthetics and film semiotics,knowledge to explore feelings expressed diverse aesthetic meaning behind home countries,and puts forward some suggestions on the development of martial arts films.
