As China plays an increasingly considerable role on the international stage,the influence of Chinese language in the world also improves,and its status has been improved.The number of international students who come to China to learn Chinese language and experience Chinese culture is also gradually increasing.As is known to all,language teaching and culture teaching are inseparable in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.When it comes to culture teaching,the first thing we think of is the inalienable culture teaching materials.In the actual teaching activities,textbooks are the important evidence for TCFL teachers to conduct class activities and tests.So.It is very necessary to compile appropriate textbooks for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Cultural textbooks can be divided into "Chinese cultural textbooks" and "survey of China textbooks",according to the written content.This paper mainly discusses the latter "survey of China textbooks" Textbook are the link between teachers and students.It is used in the teaching materials by teachers and is also the precondition for students to participate in teaching activities.The “survey of China” textbook is aimed at international students who study in China and foreigners who want to understand Chinese culture,introducing them to various aspects of China,so that they can have a more comprehensive understanding of China.In view of the important position of " survey of China " in the curriculum system of students,scholars have also had a wealth of discussions on it,especially in the compilation of textbooks.They found that there are still many problems to be solved.The two textbooks selected in this paper are both representative,one is China: Country Profile of Peking University edition and the other is A survey of China of Beijing language and culture university edition,which are respectively edited by Wang shunhong and Ning jiming.This paper compare two textbook and analyze,in order to put forward new ideas and directions for teachers' teaching and textbooks writingBased on the theory of textbook compilation and the author's teaching experience in the Institute of International Education of Huazhong University of Science and Technology,this paper is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research background,significance,the present situation,methods.On the basis of previous studies,we discuss this paper.The second part makes a comparative analysis of the chapter "Chinese traditional thoughts" in the two textbooks,including the object of use,arrangement system,teaching content and practice after class.The third part is a teaching design,which consists of teaching principles,teaching objectives,teaching content and teaching methods of the "Chinese traditional thought" this chapterThe fourth part introduces the survey situation,embracing the survey object,questionnaire of form and content as well as the analysis of the survey results.In the fifth part,the author gives some opinions on the compilation of "survey of China" textbooks.Based on the theory of compiling textbooks,this paper expounds the principles of pertinence,practicality,interest and communication in writing textbooks.The last is the conclusion of the full text content,which points out the disadvantage of this study.
