Research On The Application Of Oil Painting In Comic Creation

Comic strip,also known as "picture book",is a cultural product with Chinese characteristics.The main feature of comic strip is the combination of pictures and stories,which is also the main reason for the continuous light and heat of comic strip.Therefore,rich painting forms are particularly important for the development of comic strip.Oil painting,as a kind of western painting,has unique artistic features in its combination with comic books,which greatly enhances the artistic performance of comic books.Based on the development process of oil painting comics,this paper analyzes the artistic characteristics of oil painting comics,and takes the series of Chongqing weekend created by the author as an example to bring the unique thick texture and strong color in oil painting to the comics,and explore the application of oil painting as an artistic form in the comics.
