In recent years,with the rapid development of China’s economy and the continuous improvement of its international status,the use of Chinese has become more and more widespread.More and more foreigners begin to learn Chinese,and Chinese major has become a popular subject in many foreign universities.Teaching materials are essential tools for learners,which are of great significance to students’ ability to correctly master the methods of language learning and acquire certain language application ability.The selection of vocabulary is very important in the compilation of textbooks.Whether the choice of vocabulary is reasonable or not is the primary condition of textbook compilation.According to the current trend,the compilation of Chinese teaching materials for foreign students in China mainly follows the Chinese teaching materials in China,with a few modifications and supplements.When discussing the rules of vocabulary in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,most experts and scholars mainly draw up vocabulary selection tables based on factors such as the popularity of Chinese in students’ countries and cultural differences with those in China,and discuss and study teaching methods and contents.However,the representativeness and freshness of words are not discussed too much.In fact,lexicometry has been widely used in the compilation of language teaching materials.Some research results show that the economics-based vocabulary selection method conforms to the learning rules of learners,and the learning effect is greatly enhanced.However,although the quantitative analysis of vocabulary has certain significance for the smooth development of textbook compilation and selection,and in recent years,some scholars have begun to study the quantitative characteristics of vocabulary in various aspects and expressed their own views and opinions,generally speaking,these theories have not formed a system and some opinions are not mature.Therefore,we are looking forward to analyzing the vocabulary problems of Chinese teaching materials in Thailand based on the actual situation of teaching materials and Chinese teaching in local schools.I am a volunteer Chinese teacher in Thailand.The school I teach in is maryvit school in chunburi province,Thailand.The Chinese textbook used by this school is introduction to Chinese.This paper takes the introduction to Chinese series textbooks as the research object,constructs the text corpus of textbooks,and conducts quantitative research on the vocabulary of textbooks with the help of statistical analysis software.This paper probes into the features of vocabulary selection in textbooks from the perspectives of distribution,frequency,length and localization,and gives some Suggestions on textbook compilation and vocabulary teaching.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction,which discusses the background of the topic,its research significance,research objects,research status,and research theories and methods.In the second part,from the perspective of vocabulary,the author not only makes statistics on the vocabulary of each textbook in lesson by lesson and analyzes the relationship between the vocabularies of each textbook,but also compares and analyzes the overall situation of the vocabulary of each textbook to investigate the rationality of the vocabulary of the textbook.The third part,from the perspective of lexical features,makes statistics and analysis on the word frequency and word length of the vocabulary,and holds the rationality and scientific nature of the compilation of Chinese textbooks from the perspective of lexical features.In the fourth part,on the basis of the research in the above chapters,the vocabulary of the textbook and the vocabulary of the new HSK examination syllabus are compared and analyzed as a whole,and the non-selected Thai characteristic vocabulary in the syllabus is selected for the measurement,statistics and research,so as to provide new ideas for the selection of the vocabulary of the textbook.The sixth part is the conclusion.Through a series of statistics and analysis on the lexical features of textbooks,this paper hopes to provide references for the compilation of local textbooks in Thailand,as well as some useful inspirations for the authors of local Chinese textbooks in Thailand or the Chinese teaching institutions in Thailand. |
