Research Topics And Vocabulary Of Chinese Textbooks For Thai High School Students

Thailand is the representative country under the situation of global spread of Chinese. There are1,713schools from elementary schools to colleges offering Chinese course and655,000people learning Chinese in2010allover Thailand. It is really unprecedented. However, whether such a large number of Chinese learners have appropriate learning materials, whether the teaching topics meet their needs, which topic are they really interested in? With these questions, the writer reads many relevant papers, investigates the teaching topics of some representative Chinese teaching materials which are designed for Thailand students. At last, the author designs the questionnaires, whose objects are the students from five middle schools of Krabi, to get the teaching topics and vocabulary what the students really interested in. Through the investigation and study, this article will elect the teaching topics and related vocabulary for the Thailand middle school students, helping them in elementary Chinese learning, stimulate students' interest, and improve the teachers' teaching efficiency.
