Throughout the long history of the study of the book of songs, the literary interpretation of the book of songs has germinated since Jizha observed Zhou Yue.However,it was not until the wei, jin, southern and northern dynasties that the first peak of literary interpretation of the book of songs came.To the Ming dynasty, the second golden age of literary interpretation about the book of songs appeared. The reasons are closely related to social culture and national system. The former benefited from the literature on own initiative and the metaphysical culture of the time, while the latter benefited from the further development of the neo-confucianism culture and the gradual maturity of the eight-part essay system for selecting scholars. In this paper, the representative work of the late Ming critics,ShiTong,is selected as the research object, which has the significance of reflecting the characteristics of the late Ming poetry,to analyze the literariness of the comment discourse, and further explore the reasons for its formation, and explore its influence and shortcomings in later ages,so as to enrich the research track of the late Ming poetry. This paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter briefly introduces the edition, style and interpretation principles of ShiTong. The second chapter focuses on the literary interpretation of ShiTong. This chapter discusses the characteristics of ShiTong from two aspects: emotional interpretation and the poem method analysis.Based on the second chapter, the third chapter mainly analyzes the relationship between the selection of interpretation contents, the application of interpretation methods, the pursuit of aesthetic characteristics, which connect with the neo-confucianism trend of thought and eight-share system art.The fourth chapter discusses the influence and deficiency of ShiTong.
