A Report On Translation Of The Dynamics Of Business Communication

The Dynamics of Business Communication primarily introduces the methods,skills as well as importance of business communication.The book is an economy and trade work and belongs to informative text,which embodies distinctive language features including abbreviations,passive sentences and long and complex sentences.The report,based on the contents of chapter 8 and chapter 9 of the book as translating material,makes s detailed summary of the whole translation process.The report firstly analyzes the text type and language features of the source text.Based on the characteristics of informative text,Communicative Translation Theory is adopted to guide the translation practice.The theory and its application in informative text are briefly presented by the translator.Under the guidance of Communicative Translation Theory,many useful translation techniques such as amplification,reconstruction and syntactic linearity,have been employed to deal with the abbreviation,passive sentence and long and complex sentence during the translation process.In this way,the information of the source text has been transferred exactly and communicative goal has been achieved smoothly.Through constant revision and analysis of this practice project,the translator acquires a deeper understanding of language features and translation theory as well as techniques applied in the economy and trade text and improves translation ability,which is significant for her future translation career.Figure 0;Table 0;Reference 30...
