A Report On Translation Of NXP In The Making—The World's First HPMS Company(Chapter 1-chapter 3)

21st century is an era in which the process of economic globalization is fully promoted.The translation of overseas company brochures plays an extremely important role in expanding the influence of a company.Therefore requirements for translating in informative text are constantly increasing.In order to improve the ability in the translation of informative text,translator has translated NXP in the Making—The World's First HPMS Company under the guidance of skopos theory.In addition,translator has studied the guiding significance of skopos theory in the form of case analysis and presented all the studies by a translation practice report.NXP in the Making-The World's First HPMS Company introduces the establishment and development of NXP Semiconductors,as well as its main products and core innovations-HPMS(High Performance Mixed Signal),at the same time it discusses the promising future of semiconductor industry with its outstanding achievements.Translator's entire translation practice process is guided by the three rules of functionalist skopos theory by Hans J.Vmeer.Under the guidance of skopos rule,according to the function of a company brochure,translator has focused on attracting readers.Under the guidance of coherence rule,translator has focused on getting the translation close to target readers.Under the guidance of fidelity rule,translator has focused on ensuring accuracy in translation.In the whole translation practice,translator has always combined theory with practice.In this translation practice report,translator has classified case analysis according to the three rules of skopos theory,and carried out case analysis on typical words and sentences.After practice,analysis and research,translator has learnt that skopos theory is very impressive in guiding the translation of company brochures and translation of information texts.Figure 0;Table 0;Reference 21.
