Japan is one of the major capitalist countries in East Asia and an important neighbor of China.It has extensive and close cooperation with China in various fields such as economy,trade,culture and education.However,Sino-Japanese relations have been affected because Japanese government and the right-wing forces have wrong perceptions on historical issues and show tough attitude toward territorial sovereignty.So Sino-Japanese relations are relatively sluggish in recent years,showing a state of “cold politics and hot economy”.Facing up to history and establishing the a correct concept of war is an important foundation of the development of Sino-Japanese relations today.The Asahi Shimbun “Vox populi vox dei” Column is a well-known commentary column of the Japanese mainstream media.Its attitude towards World War II will undoubtedly have a profound impact on the Japanese society and the people's view of war.The text analysis is applied to study the 163 World War II-related commentary texts,published in the “Vox populi vox dei”,the front page of the Japanese “Asahi Shimbun” in 2014-2018.In-depth analysis of the column's conception of the basic issues of World War II,reflection on World War II and its basic position and position on the issue of World War II.Through in-depth reading and analysis of 163 object texts,this paper firstly based on the basic connotation of the concept of war from the origin of war,the situation and process of war,the outcome and impact of war and the nature of war,analyzes the concept of the column on the basic issues of World War II.Then it analyzes the column's reflection on the history of World War II from the perspectives of “use of nuclear weapons”,“modification of peace constitution” and “problem of comfort women”.On this basis,it analyzes the discourse field in which the column is located,expounds the basic position of the column,and analyzes the basic station of the column from the perspectives of “war victims”,“human peace advocates” and “war memory presenters”.Finally,the author have extended thoughts on the impact of Japan's erroneous view of history on Sino-Japanese relations,the irrational cognition of some Chinese media and people on Japan,and the future direction of Sino-Japanese relations.
