The thesis is a translation report based on the translation of the two chapters in 100 Doors-An Introduction to Entrepreneurship.The text is about how to start and maintain a business by sharing experiences and many stories in the process of innovation.The author studies the characteristics of the text,analyzes the translation problems and difficulties,and applies specific translation strategies and techniques to solve the text problems.The thesis includes five parts.Firstly,the author describes the translation task including a brief introduction of the text,the author of the book and other aspects.Then,the process of translation is presented.Thirdly,the author illustrates the main viewpoints and principles of functional Skopos theory and its application in this practice.Specific translation methods are also introduced to analyze typical examples from the perspective of vocabulary,sentence.Finally,the author summarizes the translation practice.Through the analysis of the translation report,the author finds that Skopos theory can effectively guide text translation,and applies three principles of Skopos theory to analyze translation cases.Meanwhile,the author hopes that more and more entrepreneurs can get some inspiration from this book.
