The economic globalization is on the rise with fast pace.English has become an international language,which enjoys a significant position.As we all know,vocabulary is the foundation of learning a language.However,there are still many problems existing in junior middle school English teaching,which curb students' ability to master vocabularies effectively and improvement in their English ability.Thus,it is imperative to find a scientific teaching method in order to solve the problem of junior middle school students' vocabulary learning in the current situation.Based on constructivism,the Experiential Instruction Teaching Model advocates that teachers should create a sound learning environment with rich learning resources.The priority of teaching is students' personal experiences,where students can appreciate the fun of “learning by doing”.In a 16-week experiment,the experimental subjects are 87 students,and they come from two different classes in the eighth grade of Yanan Experimental Middle School.The author applied the Experiential Instruction Teaching Model in controlled class,traditional teaching model in uncontrolled class.The author employed three main research methodologies namely test,questionnaire and interview and analyzed the test scores and questionnaire data by SPSS20.0.The final result turned out to be that before the experiment,the average score of controlled class is 20.8592,the uncontrolled class is20.787.The results indicated that the two different classes had no obvious difference.However,after the experiment,the average score is 30.0888 and 26.5782 respectively.According to SPSS20.0,the Sig value is less than 0.05,which indicates that there are significant differences between the two classes.Therefore,the Experiential Instruction Teaching Model is very helpful for improving students' English vocabulary performance.Meanwhile,the author analyzed the questionnaire and interview.The conclusion is that students' interest towards English vocabulary learning has been improved greatly.From this study,the conclusion can be drew that the application of Experiential Instruction Teaching Model not only enhances students' vocabulary performance but also develops students' interest in vocabulary learning.
