Grammar teaching has always been the key and difficult point in English teaching and It is emphasized in English Curricular Standards in the Phase of Compulsory Education(2017)that junior high school students' grammar must comply with Level-5 standard.However,traditional grammar teaching makes students lose the pisitivity in learning grammar.How to teach grammar effectively has become an increasingly serious probem.Based on the importance of English grammar learning in junior high school and the urgency of English grammar teaching reform,the author employs the experiential teaching method in junior high school English grammar and explores its effect on English grammar teaching.The author takes grade two students of junior high school students in Xiangtan as objects to verify wehter the method is helpful to their English grammar learning.In September 2018,a four-month teaching experiment on this class of the second grade in this high school is conducted.After the experiment,the data of the questionnaire and the interview are collected,sorted out and analyzed.The paper explores the effects from three aspects,including the attitudes towards grammar learning,the ays of grammar learing and the initiative in grammar learning,and draw the final conclusion of the study.Then,in order to provide a certain reference for junior high school English grammar teaching.the author put forwards some suggestions for the problems that have been found in the process of application to improve the experiential grammar teaching method.Through practical application of the experiential teaching method in English grammar teaching of and the analysis of the questionnaire and interview,the research finds that there are some advantagess:(1)The method can improve junior high school students' attitude towards English grammar learning.(2)It can improve their ways of learning Engish grammar.(3)It also can improve studnets initiative in grammar learning.In addition,the author also proposes some suggestions for improvement:(1)Teachers should fully consider the design of each teaching activities,and try to avoid the situation that the classroom discipline is hard to control.(2)Teachers should teach contens selectively,and it should be detailed for key points.
