Survey And Anaiysis Regarding Chinese Study In Rangsit University Thailand

Thailand and China have established close friendship for more than hundred years.After free trade agreement between both countries was concluded,Chinese study in Thailand has become increasingly advance.A greater number of Thai students aim to study Chinese,which leads to an increase in secondary schools in Thailand to include Chinese study in their curriculum.The quality of Chinese study of Rangsit University is widely acknowledged in Thailand.This research will focus on state of Chinese study in Rangsit University,the research has been proceeded through questionnaires involving professors,students,Chinese language programme,textbooks used in the programme to indicate problems and solutions.This thesis is divided into 3 parts.will describe the importance of the topic of this thesis,the purpose of the research including the research method.The First part is to analyse and survey state of Chinese study in Rangsit University by introducing a brief history of Rangsit university,history of Chinese study programme of Rangsit university and also student exchange programme between Rangsit university and other universities both national and international level.The second part will concentrate on problems in Chinese study found in professors,students,curriculum and current textbooks.The third will focus on the method to improve quality of Chinese study in Rangsit university,suggestions will be elaborated.The last part will conclude the result of entire research.It is very hopeful that this thesis will affect in improvement of quality of Chinese study in Rangsit university and suggestions both in theory and in practice will be adopted by the university.In our investigation and research,we found that the Chinese teachers have the background knowledge of Chinese teaching related majors.Students have strong motivation to learn Chinese and have high satisfaction with teachers’ classroom teaching.Most teachers and students think that the classroom uses the series of Chinese published by Beijing Language and Culture University Press.The teaching materials and teachers’self-edited teaching materials are in line with the actual level of students.My research demonstrates that although Rangsit university is the outstanding private university,there are some problems in regard to teaching in Chinese language study department as follows;i.inadequate amount of Chinese language teacher,ii.insufficient teaching experience of the teachers,iii.students have different level of knowledge which result in lack of eagerness in their study,vi.complication of Chinese language which leads to the decline of knowledge level of students,v.inappropriate study schedule and vi.uninteresting content of the textbooks.This research will give suggestion regarding the solution of problems found in Chinese language study of Rangsit University as follows;i.to increase the numbers of teacher in Chinese language study,ii.to set a clear structure of teachers,iii.to divide classroom that suits the level of student knowledge so that the students have clear purpose in Chinese language study,iv.to adapt study curriculum by adding subjects relating to Chinese language skill,Chinese-Thai culture and other interesting subjects into textbook.Finally,I hope that my research will be able to improve the quality of learning in Chinese language study of Rangsit University.
