Johannes Brahms,born in 1833 in Germany,is a famous composer.Although he was in the romantic period,his works insisted on the inheritance and development of classicism and successfully continued the tradition of German and Austrian music.Brahms’ s works not only have rational thinking in classical period,but also combine his unique writing methods in romantic period.Brahms’ s piano works,though few,show his unique depth of thought.Brahms’ Op.116 is a collection of essays in his later period.This work uses Brahms’ s skillful creative skills and is extremely rich in content and emotion.It is one of the important representative works to study Brahms’ late style.The first chapter of this article introduces the composer and his piano creation stage to understand Brahms’ creation.In the second chapter,through the analysis of harmony,texture and other creative techniques in Op.116,combined with my own performance experience,I can better understand and complete this work.The third chapter summarizes the artistic value of Op.116 through a brief introduction of its unique creation.
