when romanticism swept the western music world at the later half of the 19 th century,there were one musician who was still obsessed with traditional classical music.He was Johannes Brahms.?Fantasias Op.116? is one of Brahms' late piano music works.It consists of three caprices and four intermezzos.In his late music tracks,Brahms tended to create shorter music;he used incisive music to demonstrate his philosophical thoughts.This work is on author's graduation recital list.Therefore,the author made significant analysis and study about the work.The research procedures of the article is: introducing the musician Brahms and his piano works in chapter 1.Through the analysis of musical structure,characteristics of rhythm,melody,harmony and others of works to illustrate the musical and creative features of ?Fantasias Op.116? in chapter 2.In chapter 3,in combination of the performance experiences of author,this article will analyze and study the some technological difficulties,such as fingering,octave,tone,velocity,expression marks,pedal and others,in order to perform and understand this work better in graduation recital and convey Brahms musical thoughts more accurately.
