A Report On E-C Translation Of Generative Adversarial Networks

As Generative Adversarial Network(GAN)has recently become a popular research project in the AI area,the translator chooses the paper that Ian Goodfellow delivered in 2016 as the translated text.GAN's basic idea originates from two players zero sum game.It can be widely used in image and visual computing,speech and language processing,information security,chess competitions and other fields,so it has important research value and significance.After Ian Goodfellow brought up this new model,various researches were carried out at home and abroad.Some research achievements in Western countries are worthy of being studied and used for reference in China,so it is essential for the translation of artificial intelligence in this field.This translation report,which is divided into four chapters,focuses on the methods and strategies of English-Chinese translation of artificial Intelligence.The first chapter is about task description which mainly includes the task source,the features of source text and task significance.Chapter two introduces translation preparations,translation process and quality control.Under the guidance of skopos theory,this report discusses some translation methods and strategies of the translation in chapter three.At lexical level,neural network proper nouns translation skills are discussed,which includes diction,conversion and addition.At syntactic level,two skills which is remaining passive voice and converting it to active structures are used to cope with sentences with passive voice.Methods like sequencing,reversion or division are recommended to handle the translation of long and complex sentences.Negation includes convention from the affirmative into the negative and convention from the negative into the affirmative.At last,cohesion of the context is presented through lexical cohesion,reference and conjunction.Finally,chapter four concludes that the artificial intelligence paper belongs to the informative text and it should output valid information.During the translation of the paper,the translator uses the relevant translation methods and strategies rationally,so as to make the target language fluent and readable.
