Translation From The Perspective Of Eco-Translatology-A Report On The Translation Project Of Reading Like A Writer(Excerpts)

Eco-translatology is an ecological translation view or an ecological approach to translation studies.It focuses on the integrity of translation ecology and interprets the translation process from the perspective of translational eco-environment.Eco-translatology describes the relationship between the translator and the translational eco-environment.Furthermore,the theory focuses on the living circumstances of the translators and their development of translation abilities.The translation text selected in this paper is a guide to teach people how to write and read.According to some reliable researches,Eco-translatology has been used in many fields of translation,but its "Three Dimensional Translation" method has rarely been applied to guide translation.As a result,the writer writes this paper with an intention to make use of the translation method put forward in Eco-translatology to render the target text as authentic as possible.In order to adapt to the translational eco-environment of different dimensions,some specific strategies are applied to solve these problems,like transformation between concrete and abstract words,transformation of part of speech in terms of vocabulary ecology and transformation of voice,transformation of sentence structure in terms of sentence ecology in the linguistic dimension;Cultural content transformation and special expression in Chinese culture in the cultural dimension;logic transformation and transformation of discourse cohesion in the communicative dimension.Through this academic translation practice,this paper has come to the conclusion that the "Three Dimensional Translation" method of Eco-Translatology applies the same to guide text;meanwhile,it is not only a method to guide the translator how to translate but a method of self-checking of translator from the perspective of eco-balance.
