The Chinese verb " catch(?)" and Korean verb "catch((?))" are both basic vocabulary.They all play an important role in their respective language systems.It is helpful for us to understand the similarities and differences between the Chinese and Korean language systems by investigating and analyzing the Chinese verb " catch(?)" and Korean verb " catch((?))".This paper is divided into five parts.The first chapter is the introduction,which explains the significance of the research motivation,the research scope and methods,the general situation of previous studies and the sources of research corpus.The second chapter first collects all the meanings of " catch(?)" and " catch((?))" in Chinese and Korean dictionaries,and then makes a comparative analysis in order to summarize the corresponding rules between meanings.Secondly,the basic and derivative meanings of "catch" in modern Chinese and Korean are compared and analyzed,and then the semantic system of "catch" in Chinese and Korean is sorted out comprehensively.Finally,the similarities and differences between the meanings of " catch(?)" in Chinese and " catch((?))" in Korean are summarized.Chapter three,from the perspective of the choice of semantic roles,makes a comparative analysis of the similarities and differences between " catch(?)" and " catch((?))" through the analysis of specific corpus.Chapter IV mainly analyses the errors of Chinese and Koreangrabbing verbs.Combining the author's two years' experience in teaching Chinese as a foreign language in Longman Primary School and Hanguang Senior High School in Quanlonandao,Korea,the author summarizes the problems existing in Chinese vocabulary teaching in Korean primary and secondary schools,and puts forward some suggestions and methods for Chinese vocabulary teaching in Korea.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,which summarizes the similarities and differences in the meaning,semantic expansion and grammar between the Chinese " catch(?)" and the Korean "catch((?))".Finally,I hope this paper will be helpful for foreign learners to learn Chinese and sort out Chinese vocabulary,and also for Chinese teachers in Korea to teach Chinese.
