In this paper, based on previous studies, we Compared the Chinese word" Eat " and its corresponding words in Vietnamese "an". We hope this study could offer some valuable reference for those who teach and learn Chinese as a foreign language. This paper is divided into four parts.The Introduction outlines the objectives and significance of this research,and overviews the senior scholars'achievements, which are the basis and reference for my research,about Chinese word " Eat" and Vietnamese word "an".In part one, firstly,we present the meaning of "Eaf" in detials from the semantic features, metaphor and metonymy, etc. At the same time we analyze the types of object behind "Eat". The match power of the Chinese verb"Eat" is very strong, It not only can match with nouns and adjectives,also with the trend-verbs.In part two, based on the understanding of the meaning of Eat", we Compared it with Vietnamese "an", in order to find out the Similarities and differences between them.Because the ambiguity of Chinese word " Eat ", those who teach and learn Chinese as a foreign language are always plagued. So, in part three, We survey the errors with appear in the Chinese learners. Then we analyze the reasons, and made some plain proposals on teaching and learning.
