YA literature is an important branch of children's literature that can not be ignored.Western post-modern juvenile literature has experienced half a century of vigorous development since The Catcher in the Rye.Several writers, including Aiden Chambers,a British writer known as the leader of juvenile literature, have emerged.Domestic readers are familiar with his Dance on My Grave and Postcards from No Man's Land. However, these are only one third of Chambers' masterpiece---"Dance Series".The whole series pushes the literary creation of teenagers' lives to a new height and has a great influence on the development of children's literature in the world. Many scholars compare the relationship between people to "dance".Aiden Chambers' "Dance Series" focuses on the intimate relationship between adolescents, and its content is highly consistent with the theory of "peer attachment" in psychology. From the beginning of attachment, the psychological motivation of the characters in "Dance Series" in seeking intimate relationship mainly includes three levels.First, physical attraction: the writer upholds the creative idea of "writing the truth" and boldly involves ritual body narration.Secondly, the emotional needs, writers write characters with their parent attachment in a certain imbalance and desire to be compensated in the peer relationship, they often with a certain complex to make friends. Finally, when the ultimate philosophical problems of life come to teenagers, they compose a moving attachment dance around the belief. In the process of developing peer attachment, teenagers often explore themselves more deeply in the contradiction of interaction with friends. They activate "multiple selves" in their relationship with peers, which is involved in every book of "Dance Series",Chambers excavated it to a considerable depth. Most of the characters are in "Anxious-resistant" and "Avoidant" modes. In the conflict between these two attachment modes, they also struggle to adjust and keep balance.Chambers' characters also develop multiple attachment objects in addition to attachment. They love literature, nature and all the true and beautiful things like lovers.Studying "Dance Series" with the theory of peer attachment can fill in the blank of the whole study of "Dance Series" in China, and promote the literary research and application of "Dance Series" with the theory of peer attachment.
